You're a business. You want customers. But your competitors want customers too, and they offer similar products/services – how do you entice customers to choose you over them?
By being DIFFERENT. Being UNIQUE. Being REMARKABLE.
Why you're different, unique, and remarkable isn't always easy to articulate, but here are some tips to help.
Your unique or remarkable difference is not:
- the quality of your service
- the depth of your knowledge with a product
- how long you've been in business
The best way to figure out your unique, remarkable difference is to ask your current ideal customers:
- What made you decide to hire us?
- What was the biggest problem we solved?
- What do we do that is of the most value to you?
- What’s one thing we do better than anyone else?
- What could we improve?
- What would you have done if you hadn’t chosen us?
- Would you refer us? If so, what would you say?
When you start looking at the answers, themes will emerge. Those themes are your unique, remarkable difference, and that unique, remarkable difference is what you use to get business to come to you.
